Ok, so the pictures didn't show up after all.  It shouldn't be this hard, and those of you who are laughing    because you don't think it is, I'm glad to bring a little joy to your lives.
So, Danie is still in Saint George.  She has been extended another six weeks since there is still no news on her visa.  She seems very happy to be working with the people there and has met many investigators from several different foreign countries.  She is currently working with a family from Poland and is so excited by it all.  She has also been able to talk with people from Jerusalem, Peru, Germany, and Australia, none of whom are missionaries.
I find it interesting that despite not having left the state let alone the country yet, she is in an area where she does not even have a bed.  She is sleeping on an air mattress, but as usual considers it an adventure.  I am sure she has had worse over the years at girl's camp.
It seems Danie's latest adventure has to do with getting rides from members, when the Sisters don't have a car.   Apparently they have experienced the excitement of driving on the wrong side of the road presumably because that lane was open, and witnessing the work of guardian angels in the process.  Danie finds all of this quite humorous and said she was just glad her sweet driver had the added safety of having missionaries in the car with her.  She allowed as how permanent missionary passengers could be to the benefit of some drivers.  Still she is glad for transportation in what is sure to be hot weather soon.  I am so jealous...of the weather.
Danie wrote one of her most recent letters from the waiting room of a dentist office.  At first I could not imagine what dental work she needed done but it was her companion who had the appointment.  Her companion is from Argentina so she must have needed something she didn't get done before she got here.  Anyway, Danie said it was some SERIOUS dental work and she could tell because she could hear it all from her seat in the waiting room.  Again, I was grateful that the appointment was not for Danie.  So sorry for her sweet companion.  Danie loves the Sister she is serving with.  We are grateful for this blessing as well.
Danie says the work is so hard and so great.  She wouldn't want to be doing anything else right now except maybe getting more letters.  Here is her latest address for any who want to write to her.  All letters and packages must go US Postal.

I apologize for being so slow and so bad at this blogging for Danie, but I will keep trying and for any who keep up with this, you will be rewarded with the gift of patience.  It's a virtue you know.

  1. Good job on posting, we were starting to wonder how Danie has been. Call me if you ever have "blogging" questions. AA
